What’s the Story?
Our project began as a simple group chat among friends who share a passion for discovering and rating beer gardens. Over the years, we've explored countless corners of the UK and Europe, leaving no stone unturned in our quest for the perfect pint and the coziest ambiance. Through these journeys, we've collected hundreds of ratings and images, forming a treasure trove of memories and recommendations

Rate my beer garden is a mobile-optimized web app currently in its early alpha stage. This project was an exciting opportunity to apply and enhance my skills in UX/UI design and interactive prototyping. Utilizing Adobe XD, I crafted detailed wireframes and built a functional prototype that mapped out the user journey and app functionalities. This process allowed me to focus on creating an intuitive and seamless experience for users looking to rate and discover beer gardens.
To bring the visual aspect to life, I employed Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to develop a cohesive and engaging user interface. This involved designing custom graphics and icons, selecting a vibrant color palette, and ensuring that the visual elements aligned with the social and welcoming atmosphere of beer gardens. The project also emphasized responsive design principles to optimize the app for mobile devices. I honed my abilities in user-centered design, visual storytelling, and mobile optimization. Including an image of the wireframe build showcases the foundational work and thought process that underpins the app's development.

In bringing Rate My Beer Garden to life, I served as the project manager, guiding the development process from start to finish. I hired a skilled developer and maintained clear communication to ensure alignment with our vision. This involved meticulous attention to detail and swift problem-solving to address any issues that arose, always with an eye on potential growth for the platform. Balancing immediate needs with future scalability, I successfully managed the project, ensuring each page followed our original concept. This experience sharpened my leadership, strategic planning, and agile project management skills, ultimately leading to the creation of a functional and engaging web app.
Future of the project
I am excited to allocate more funds towards enhancing the Rate My Beer Garden platform by refining the user experience, implementing new features, and ensuring smooth functionality across devices. A significant focus will be on building and engaging our community by hiring community managers, creating content, and hosting events. We'll ensure legal and regulatory compliance to safeguard user data. Marketing efforts will be intensified to attract more beer enthusiasts and promote our campaign. Additionally, we will secure deals with pubs and beer garden chains to offer exclusive deals and invest in developing a user-friendly app for iOS and Android, broadening our reach and accessibility.
This journey not only resulted in a functional and engaging web app but also enriched my skills in leadership and strategic planning. It highlighted the significance of adaptability and proactive communication in successfully managing complex projects.
